The rafting expedition from Zanskar to Nimoo will be a life time experience, you will be driving from Leh to Zanskar via Kargil with will be a 2-day journey before you get to the rafting point. Along the way you will come across the two highest peak in the Suru Valley bother at a height of above 7000m towering in the heart of the Suru Valley. The rafting experience will be one of its kinds as you raft down the Zanskar canyon. The trip takes you down the extremely desolate, remote and sheer Zanskar gorge with walls rising a few thousand feet out of the river bed, culminating on the mighty Indus river.

Transfer to hotel. Relax and acclimatise. Visit Leh market in the evening.
A day for acclimatisation. Optional visit to the Leh palace and the Shey, Thiksey and Hemis Gompas.
Start your journey towards Kargil, driving along the Leh Srinagar highway. On reaching argil you will had towards the Kargil – Zanskar highway.
Overnight in Suru Valley.
From Suru Valley continue towards Rangdum. You will come across the two massive peaks in the T-suru valley the Nun-nun peak both above 7000m.
The road swings past the last Muslim settlement of Parkachik, to the Buddhist Gelukpa monastery of Rangdum, sitting astride a small hill in the middle of a wide plain. An optional hike around the huge meadow.
Drive over the Pensi la, from the top of the view you will get to see the Drang Drung glacier.The road descends to the Stod or Doda river which it now follows past the Zanskari villages to Padum the capital of Zanskar.Today you will get to the start of the rafting point on the Stok River.
Rafting begins at Remala. Raft till near Karsha Gompa, near Padum.
We are surrounded by 6000-metre-high peaks. River section today includes a Class II section, a good introduction for first timers as well as to the river in general. Settle into camp by afternoon, Raft to Karsha near Padum. Hike to Karsha monastery(optional).
After a late morning start, we raft from Karsha up to Honyo / Pidmo. Grade is Class II and III rapids. Another easy day to get used to the river, the altitude and hone our paddling skills.
Raft to Nyerak Class III section. The gorge narrows in on the river – there is a rapid formed at the entrance to the canyon, this indeed is a Grand Canyon in its own right. stop for the day to pitch camp in a gorge below Nyerak village.
Rest day at Nyerak. Take a hike to Nyerak village enjoy the day off.
The rafting section goes through the heart of the Zanskar region. continuous Class III rapids, a few Class IV rapids where the river squeezes between a gap of about 18ft. huge waterfall along the way.
40 kms of Class III/IV white water from Lamayuru to Nimmo. Cross the village of Chilling and exciting rapids as the Zanskar plunges out of the canyon to meet with the Indus at Nimu. We end our trip at the confluence of the Zanskar with the Indus. Drive an hour back to Leh.
An hour-long boat trip on the Zanskar with easy rapids suitable for children and senior citizens who like to take it easy.
This stretch has rapids of moderate level. It is especially good for the beginners who want to get a taste of white-water rafting.
A 3 hour stretch with plenty of thrilling rapids. This is for the hardcore adventure seekers.
A 3 hour long stretch with great rapids on the Indus River. The water here is warmer than Zanskar.
